Research, Toolkit
Unheard voices
2023-

This ongoing reseach project delves into the exploration and application of non-human personas, examining their role in problem-solving and representing previously unrepresented persepctives.
The study has so far introduced three prescribed personas – Ancestors, Flora and Fauna, and Future Citizens – each offering unique perspectives, from historical insights to ecological wisdom and forward-thinking innovation. The research outlines methodologies for creating these personas, including leveraging existing characters and hybrid approaches. So far four-stage toolkit is proposed for flexible usecases, incorporating character traits, role-playing elements, and data visualisation frameworks.

RIAM Opera
2023

Both operas, composed by female writers, delve into themes of transformation and illusion. In both narratives, the female protagonists punish the male antagonists by turning them into objects, effectively imprisoning them within their transformed states. To capture the essence of this imprisonment, the accompanying imagery employs a paper cut technique to distort mugshots, diluting the subjects' identities. Additionally, the design incorporates a robust and subtly imperfect typeface, paying homage to the vernacular typography prevalent during the time periods in which the operas were created.
